My story of Lockdown
Rupa Ajith
LIFE CHANGING MOMENTS
v
Gratitude
for being blessed of having life, every morning finding myself alive! Honoring
life has become a part of lifestyle
v
Seeing
so many deaths worldwide, have come to terms that Death is ultimate, it is imminent!
Its is scary but let’s face it and be prepared to give the best to life
v
Adopting
positive aptitude to this crisis with
the faith that this too shall pass.
v
Slowing
down, pause and reflect is important to the gauge the experiences achieved so far! Its Motivating
to move on in the right direction with the right purpose, gives meaning to life
v
Feeling
Nature blossom like never before thanks to lockdown, no locomotives, no smoke.
It’s the fresh showers, inhaling pure air make me feel rejuvenated
v
Practically
witnessing the eternal universal truth that there is a Higher power in Nature
much above us. Humans are but a speck dust and this reality has crushed our ego
that we are invincible !
v
Accepting
a stark reality that we no more can afford to waste anything specially knowing
that there are millions of people who stay deprived of food, forget about bare minimum basic necessities
v
Showing
compassion to all our fellow citizens observing rules of wearing mask as well
as coming to the aid of our service providers financially
v
Respect
has grown more for our cleaners, security guards not to mention less the
Frontline warriors, Angels in form of doctors, nurses, police and other service
providers
v
More
respect and gratitude for our farmers, small vegetable vendors and shops still
providing essential food items without much increasing the cost
v
Now I realise how grey hair can also be
beautiful to make you age with grace. I am not missing my beauty parlour …
after all its luxury we can skip
v
Though
there is a restriction of going out but we have all the liberty to move within
and that does not stop us from visiting the best moments we adore, usually
which we hardly bother to spend time internalizing
v
I
feel proud of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Modi who is not just a great leader
but also has unified us with tasks we celebrated doing and it won’t be wrong to
say that the death toll in India is less frightening as compared to US or Italy
thanks to our visionary able PM.
I personally
enjoyed both the tasks (Thali beating and Diya lighting) showing public
acknowledgment with applaud of gratitude and respect!
CREATIVITY & EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
v
Embracing
Holy scriptures – started reciting Bhagwad Gita along with singing Bhajans with
Ajith… spending quality time to nurture and enrich each other
v
Physical
activities increased in terms of doing household chores which was earlier not
there when I had the leisure to have maid though it helped me to be more
orderly keeping more things in order
v
Art
practice has been more with deeper passion, as I feel now I need to do all the
more to keep my spirits high at this doomed time
v
Staying
connected more often with near ones my Sister and Brother specially Adul
Maharaj my nephew. Having fun time is a daily dose we all need now more! Family
is Life
v
Though
there may be some disagreements about this specially with my dear Hubby, I am
developing my culinary talent taking interest and learning from my sister and
You tube
LESSONS LEARNT DUE TO LOCKDOWN
v
Realisation
of impermanance of everything material
v
Health is primary requirement to be
prioritized above everything else- before any need of life…. Success, wealth,
relations!
v
Hygiene, of course, has become the holy thing to abide
for surviving and dodging death at this point of time.
v
Precaution
is better than cure!
v
Stay
Home, stay Safe
v
Corona
Covid 19 is just a trailer from Mother Nature to give Humanity a jolt for all
its mistakes made to Mother nature in the name of technological development. So
better be alert and do no further harm but stay attuned with Nature..!
On a lighter noteJ I have some major confessions
I have gone extra creative in sleeping
patterns and dreaming extravagantly with more time to doze off zzz
I no more want Ajith to stay around in
Kitchen specially as he always picks up something to complain. I give a sigh of
relief when he is on his own…. !
My feet are becoming smaller when I look
at them from top, can someone tell why so?
Yoga has been a far fetched dream….
Waiting to be a reality. How I wish so.
