The siren declaring War Begins
was slipped out silently
No warning, no clue
it was a plot within
The Rescue team got ready in full swing
once they heard the call of duty
Enclosed in an armour of multiple layers
prepared they marched their foot forward
Their body sweat profusely
gasping for breath of freah air
They know its call of duty
they could hardly afford to fear
The marks of redness, rashes & blues
left by wearing mask for long hours of use
could not reduce the pride of victorious badges
in honour of their selfless service
they own their respectable dues
Social distancing has made every one far alone
Farthest are the Frontline warriors being in War zone,
who are attending to patients inflicted with the Virus - not to leave them alone
Staying away from home for safety of family of their own
while the rest of the world is staying safe working from home
Deprived of sound sleep of countless nights
Exhausted yet he stands erect holding the torch of light
of Goodness, nobility, rescuing someone's from plight
A warrior is meant to win with all his might
On the softer note, we see him as a father
waiting to hold in his arms his princess, his daughter
we see how he yearns to catch a glimpse of
morning sunshine,
of how he craves for a munch of delicacy
He droops by fatigue still he has miles to go
He is fascinated by the applaud that flows
from smiles on the faces of patients in full glow
He can not rest, his nobility is put to test
Salute to Bravehearts for they have lives to save
