How to stay focussed II

 

Time factor is another one.  You have to create a window. You have to put stoppers at the ends, set a stopwatch of starting the work and closing the work. You can not keep doing a work with unlimited time. Without having time limits, you end up squandering your time, efforts will not be focused or concentrated. Knowing that you have the liberty to do it at any point of time. Then you are wasting your energy, time, resourcefulness in unlimited time frame. It is very important to assign, to allocate a particular time slot, you create a window where you give yourself the time. It is very natural that your attention span is very limited . Your energy, you working mode is limited. You need to take rest. You have to assign time. Time allotment is important. Just like when we create a window, there are also stop line or time limit. You set a timer for starting and finishing the work. Caging time brings alertness. In the beginning you need to warm up, and as the finish line is near there is an alarm that the countdown has begun. This is how you set a window with time limit. Once you enter the window, forget about the time factor, knowing that the stop watch is taking care. It will let you know. But till it pops up, till the alarm rings, you are freeing yourself from angst of time running out. This is a way out . Just keep a window, always set a warming up time and countdown time. Like in a traffic signal why there is a yellow light. There is a transition system. Its always good to have a transition time to get started.  While you start running, there is a warming up time to boost your speed after a while. You pick up the momentum, gear up the speed and your acceleration is at your highest as you progress. Initially it takes more of your energy to kick start. Like an engine, makes lot of sound to begin before the drive. Or a rocket launches with a propellor first to ignite its flight. It is impossible to imagine to get to our highest form at the initial stage. Only after we carry on our journey with lots of errors & trials, and with gradual learning from our mistakes and  other techniques that we speed up our growth and reach an optimum stage. So this your energy, your attention, your sharpness, everything gears up after you warm up. You prepare yourself that you are going to use the most of your energy, your attention, your intelligence, your resourcefulness. So you give signals while warming up to your mind that there is some time I need  all my attention, all my energy, in intense form to get the best out of me. This is how you reach the peak then you also have to let go once you are at your highest mode. You let go as you have reached your optimal level and have the humility to slow down. Beyond a certain point it is futile to expect much. So, refrain from further exerting. Like if in an exam you write a paper, first you have to warm up by having a glance of the whole of question paper so that you are aware of what lies ahead and be better prepared to handle it at your best. What is the grade of questions to your prepared knowledge. Once you are aware, you will start with the easiest questions to answer as it will save time for the difficult questions to pay more attention to. Once you are done with the easiest ones, you build up confidence better equipped to deal with heavier ones. If you keep the easiest ones for last to be done, you may lose time to answer as the harder ones are going to take more of your time and also make you shaky if you are not very happy about your doubtful answers. So keep the difficult part for the last where you have little chances of your knowledge, you are trying your luck to attempt rather than totally skipping it.

Once you deal with time factor, the next step is to refrain yourself from the anxiety of doubting your efforts, worrying about the result and also entertaining doubts about future. Know that nothing is going to happen bad, you have given your best and the Universe will acknowledge that returning with grace. Result is mixture of many factors. Don’t allow yourself to be bogged down by the result good or bad. Giving that space of uncertainty is very first preparation of not letting any doubts to bother you, to feel insecure and also you can safeguard yourself from the possibility of feeling feeble, tense, feeling stressed, panicky about what’s going to happen and also over obsessiveness. You obsession of expecting the desired result will only hamper your course of action. While in action, you have to involve your subconscious mind, by sending messages of confidence, happy feeling about the work you are doing with the trust that you believe in it and are enjoying every part of it in spite of uncertainty lingering on. Like a dancer performing on stage can win more of audience admiration only when the audience can connect to the enjoyment with which the dancer is performing. The audience is the Universe here, and to make our action beautiful or impactful, we need to exhibit grace of blissfulness in that action with self-belief and confidence in the process. With affirmation that no matter whatever is the result it is acceptable, provided that now you can not afford to think about the result. This is the time where you have to be in action mode and this is possible by way of practice, by way of clarity, confidence that you are not letting anything to happen without your permission, being in total charge. Anything happening beyond your wish, you have no choice, but to accept and the wisdom lies in Surrender to help you accept the fact. Not everything is in your control, this is the law of Universe. But also a firm belief that nothing wrong can happen to you, a faith that everyone is  willing to cooperation, everything the whole Universe is in tune with you … you are sending good vibrations because these messages are picked up by the Universe. If you send the vibration of panic then the universe picks it up and somehow the results have those impacts. So its not very practical to demonstrate how it works, but your subtle energy does work. You can not handle the energy mechanically because its beyond your logic. You need to be intuitive to catch glimpses of your vision or improve the range of your perception beyond five senses. Mindfulness is the key here. With your affirmations you bridge that gap. Acceptance, openness are all higher elements which you can imbibe by being in tune with nature with Grace and Surrender.

So this insight is possible with my well-practiced techniques how to be focussed and stay focussed. This is a game changer helping you to have your dreams achieved. Have a wonderful blissful life of Accomplishments.

How to stay focussed

 Many of us face this problem of staying focused. May be we get started but after a while we start loosing and can not keep our attention in tune with what we intend to achieve. It is very important you execute your work staying focused. Focus is something very fundamental in achieving your desired results otherwise you can say its an accident that it just happened when you are very lucky. Like some Artist can create wonderful Masterpiece, then also they need to dedicate some time and keep themselves away from distractions to dedicate to work what they are creating, Maybe literally you can't say they are focused they may be painting by their instincts by their flow. Not that the mechanics of work is different while you are in a creative mode. The instincts work well when you stay focussed, your skills are sharper and refined. 

Coming back to the point how can we stay focused. As a very first step to get started in this process of bringing focus into your work  is to eliminate all the distractions which is swaying away your precious attention from the desired part of action you intend to do. suppose you are reading a content, trying to grasp the meaning while there is something else is going in your mind you are worried about something to be done, or distracted by the noise around or somebody else is poking and diverting your attention so you have to be careful, In that case you have to protect yourself from distractions. One of the way to eliminate distraction is to move on to a quieter place, more secluded or reserved place which avoids unnecessary noise or interference from others or other factors. The other way if you don't have a choice to shift or move elsewhere you can prepare your mindset not to pay attention to whatever is going outside. Suppose you are in a busy traffic, you can not avoid the noise. You still have the choice. you can shut down that noise from your head by this affirmation that you are not paying attention the will power to shift your attention at your own command and at your own pace. You will not allow your mind to waver by any outside noise or disturbance or anyone calling you out. Suppose  you are engaged in something important, there is a call for you , your instinct may tell you pick up the phone but you may tell your mind that the call can wait, you can definitely call back once your are free from that work. Start your work with commitment. Nothing can divert your attention. You are not alone. You are in charge. Like if there is an examination happening the invigilator makes sure that there is pin drop silence in the hall so that the examinees are able to perform best. The supervisors are guarding the room not allowing any outer disturbance or noise hampers their performance . So you have to keep a guard, a watchdog who is not letting any outside disturbance to enter your mind to divert your attention. Your attention is precious and you pay 100% commitment to that particular task in hand and it only can happen with this confidence that I am in charge, I can decide. I do have the choice. I do have the willpower to stick to my decision of being committed to that work and I don't allow others to interference. This is absolute my choice and within my range of authority to decide whom to allow to take your attention. This comes with practice. The preparation is with this understanding you have to have a very clear understanding of how much capacity you are holding right now. In case you are lacking in having that confidence then you have to seek out ways how to improve confidence. Just like when we are overweight and we lack the energy because weight drains our energy unnecessarily. So we have to cut out that extra drain of energy. We got to reduce our weight and there are techniques and practice with persistent efforts that you can get over that problem. There is always a way out. This starts with affirmation. I can do it. Whatever you decide is within your range. Of course, after a certain point you know with proper awareness to what extent you can exert your authority and after that you leave rest on God. Result is not in your hands. You did your best and after that you have to have this Surrender mode that it s OK whatever be the result, I did my best, my commitment was 100%. I was in charge of what I intend to do, the result, of what happens is not my authority , not within my control. I have to allow some space taking into consideration other factors affecting the result. 

Like some person is competing in an event, there are judges who can decide, it is subjective,you score marks partially depending upon the perspective of the examiner not necessarily that marks decide your capability. So mind it that you are your own judge and the result is a judgement by outside force. You can always have your fair judgement by the amount of commitment, confidence and efforts you put in for your work. Once you are very satisfied that you did your best there is nothing much to worry or regret.  It will always take you ahead in your future endeavors. Because every effort is a foundation for upcoming ones. So even if you fail or meet up with desired results, the task which you did to your optimum capacity does not go waste. It gives you experience and awakens you about the pitfalls in the journey so that you are better prepared next time. It is doing the groundwork for your future action. So this is one way, you have to eliminate all the distractions at your will power, to exercise your authority and be a watchdog to what you can avoid or abstain from letting your attention go haywire from a particular task in hand.
