Light is life, light is power
Light gives strength & vitality
Light empowers
Let us celebrate the festival of Lights
that is Diwali in India
with beautiful diyas (earthen pots) filled with oil and a cotton wick we decorate our houses
all the buildings are lit up with colorful light bulbs
and the sky is embellished with sparking shots of colorful fireworks
the floor is adorned with colorful chalk powder in form of Rangoli
Homemade Sweets are exchanged in harmony with each other
Prayers are made at temples as well as at home in a ceremonial way offering flowers to deities primarily Lord Ganesha (God of obstacle remover) & Goddess of wealth Devi Laxmi
Diwali is also a commemoration of Lord Rama's victory over Ravana symbolizing victory of Goodness over evil.
The festivity ushers in joy, blessings and prosperity marking the significance of Light and Truth.
Light of Knowledge dispels darkness of ignorance
Light of freedom from bondage of mean narrow mindedness to expansion of limitless Self through connection to all
Light of Justice with victory of Good over evil, right over wrong, just over unfair
Light of Joy ushering in a life of celebration amidst chaos
Light of Peace to bring harmony amidst diversity
Light of Hope rescuing form despair
Light of prayers & blessings to realize Divinity
Light of Insight to see everyone and everything in union with Divine
the Eternal Universal Truth
