It is natural to be Unnatural

 Who says it is not proper to be unnatural. Often we come across such extra ordinary people with outstanding merits and contribution to the world but their personal life is little less than perfect yet in some extreme cases they are so called abnormal, far away from the normality of Society.

Master Artist Van Gogh's unnatural  trait is the first instance of genius coming to my mind with off track thought process such that he committed suicide out of frustration while the world treasures his invaluable creations for hundred years past his unfortunate unnatural death.  In fact, it is the special ability of such genius to look at things differently with unique feeling or intensity so that others who could not understand or relate to them labelled such rarity as abnormal. 

I could observe such an instance of unnatural trend in Nature. While taking a walk in nature, I witnessed all the twines of a creeper are falling naturally towards ground after reaching a certain height. That is the beauty of the creeper to be grounded. Well but not all are exhibiting the same trait. Here and there, I find few twines climbing upwards reaching for the sunlight. It triggerd a curiousity in me to instrospect if nature too defies natural law universally followed but in exceptional cases.  

I was astonished to watch a sapling growing into a plant but moving parallel to the ground after gaining a little height. It sparked a thought provoking question as to what dire situation made the plant grow horizontally against the norm of growing vertically. On close inspection, I found out that the plant is placed in a pot at a corner of a balcony which is hardly getting any direct sunlight. To beat the odds, the plant desperately wants to reach out to its source of life which is the sunlight here. The earnest desire to gain nourishment made the plant defy norms and it battles all lack with courage to take up an exceptional route to growth. To some it may strike abnormal growth while those who can value valour will be able to identify that so called abnormality is actually an extra ordinary trait to stand out from the rest. 

Same applies to us when we label abnormality to some traits in people who defy norms. It is the callous way of society to deal with exceptional traits with stamp of rejection whoever are not following the general masses. 

I could relate to rare few who are silently carrying on a mission but the world is oblivious of their progress and may target such genius with mockery of being invisible. When the right time comes, the world is stunned by their masterpieces. Such is the vigour of being an exception,  courage to be different and original. This is the origin of originality- to follow your instinct irrespective what sounds natural or normal. No matter what people say or how they treat you, maintain your originality not just to stand out of the crowd but to set an outstanding example.

Churning of Milk to Butter for better

 Why churning is placed so much importance in our spiritual lessons.

Definitely churning is related to purification through life battles and struggles which is stepping stone for spiritual growth.

The more one goes through challenging/ difficult situations, the more it is known that a window is opening up for proving one's virtues right and capabilities to the optimum level. Instead most of the lesser awakened souls fails the testing time and fall back upon vices and wrong deeds and earn bad Karma to incur. 

Let us take the analogy of milk and butter.

We all know how easy is to manipulate the purity of milk by adding water as the dilution of milk is not visible by naked eyes. But on the contrary, if it is duly checked then the mischief can be caught.

 However in most cases our simplicity is threatened without prior notice, and we are taken aback by the sudden attack on our integrity or purity. What i mean to say is that if one does not work on being upright, there will be innumerable instances of loosing our character under the pressure of fraudulent attempts by outside factors or sometimes our own inner weak moments can instigate if left unguarded without knowledge and awareness. 

On the other hand, butter is extracted from milk in such a Churning process with lots of patience and time that the result is worth it. This time milk is converted into butter and now if one adds water now, they can't cheat like before. The butter of its own properties becomes lighter and floats on the surface defying the fraud to happen. 

Similarly, when a person goes through all odds of life, still maintains his purity with steadfastness to life principles, then a spiritual transformation happens helping his soul to evolve and ultimately the person benefits in every way including his spiritual growth, forbearance power, compassion, truthfulness and so on .  He becomes lighter like a butter with no stress, anger or any deformities of thought process can bring him down to bottom rather he floats on the top with lightheartedness by nature. He gets rid of all vices he does not need through this churning  process and reduces the risk of contaminating his mind and soul.

Today morning as I was washing my face I realized in order to get right temperature of water, I need to adjust both hot and cold water taps to set it right. While I need to increase the hot water and some where to reduce cold water or vice versa. Suddenly it struck me though they are both opposites in nature but both are required to maintain the required result. I can resonate this principle to my understanding of Action and its opposite inaction. How sometimes inaction helps us to bring a balance and get optimum result rather that just by action alone. For example in some cases, reacting to certain action or remark, it is wise to keep quiet and let the situation under control rather than explode it with your heavy words. 

In event of some social activity which you don't believe or agree, it is wise to boycott such activity. Which is again opposite of action but not joining an event is also an action like boycott. Prohibiting someone to act in an evil manner is again an action in the form of not allowing to act. 

In nut shell to come to an equilibrium state there is always an ongoing adjustment between two extremes to maintain balance. With this knowledge there is clarity as to what level of adjustments are required to be made from both ends specially how much action and how much not to act is recommended.

Conceptualisation refreshed

 To bring innovation in our approach we need to let go of the past learning which no more serve our purpose. 

Whenever we find there is a degradation in the product quality, the very first thought goes to what happened. Where things went wrong. If everything seems right, from the ingredients to the process of making, then don't forget to investigate into the product making machinery or equipment. 

Exactly this can happen to our actions going wrong. No matter how much efforts we put to get it right, sometimes things don't go our way that's fine, it is something beyond our control. We have no choice but to accept the result. But suppose there is something lagging behind from our part not being realized, then there is something to be done before it is too late. Yes, I am talking about our foundation of thoughts going awry due to lack of understanding or having entirely a useless concept. Its high time that we re- define our concepts... this is the building block of our thoughts and thereby our action. Make sure what you believe is correct. If any long held belief system is overpowering your life, then wake up. Shake up your concepts, the weaker ones will fall off and only the stronger ones will stay. Questioning does not mean doubting but getting a better understanding. Like the product making machinery needs to be checked, oiled or lubricated and whatever needs to be done for its maintenance to prevent wear and tear in the long run. Like we go for health check up once a while to make sure we are not inviting any shocking disease at a later stage, too late too be cured. Prevention in time saves nine! 

Likewise, our whole life revolve around our belief system, our understanding and concepts which shapes our perspective. We are in tune with what we know and understand. To venture into  unknown territory one needs to be bold, prepared, eager and willing to grow or know beyond. Not everyone dares to as it involves risk taking factor. Being courageous pays us as well as costs too. So better be ready and prepared with all necessary back ups as well. Whenever we meet with failures, it should not dampen our spirit, on the contrary failures are building blocks of future success. A good painting can never be made by one stroke. It is a persistent effort of putting layers after layers of paint and strokes that a Masterpiece is created. Scientist also have to zeal to discover or invent with openness for new ideas and so do they access the wide field of Unknown. Like we access unlimited information from internet rather than the limited files in the computer. 

Coming back to giving a fresh breath of life to our working knowledge which can go bankrupt due to outdated concepts. The whole idea is to infuse newness in all your approaches of day to day life once in a while to upgrade your life in tune with changing times.

Seeking Knowledge

When we receive knowledge

we transcend our limited concepts

transgressing from gross to subtler planes  

likewise our minds gets uplifted 

like a shining flame of light ever rising high 

We cross barriers of love, compassion

and blossom to an elated state

Love grows, expansion happens

WE become inclusive

We transform to givers from takers

We are truthful to our real nature

WE tune into universal flow of Oneness

 

Now to upgrade ourselves to be receptor of knowledge 

we need to bring in vital aspects of Learners

Be humble, unlearn what you have learnt so far

ready to fill in your pot by emptying it first

Be committed, dedicated with faith and gratitude

Respect and Humility are essential qualities for a student'

 Bringing in the aspect of service with reverence

being obedient, sincere, truthful, honest, dedicated 

can allow Knowledge to seep into you

One has to be totally surrendered in faith

Raising questions is the right way to learn 

and strengthen your basic foundation

provided one has full faith in the process of learning

One needs to give innumerable tests 

ever ready for practicals to happen

unquestionably to one's horror of testing tribulations

Hard work, perseverance, patience is what pays

Self restraint, self inquiry, reflection

Contemplation, introspection are some of the 

requirements to be complied.

Once you reach a stage of complete understanding

of real law of Nature, 

you are a winner already

Its a matter of execution only

So introduce quest in your journey to 

navigate in the right direction 

with geared up pace by Grace

 

Marching forward

 Life is a journey where we gather only experiences

its us to decide whether we let which one  to enrich or diminish

I stumbled, I fumbled

battling storms of life

Aghast I lay beaten

at the merciless thrashes slayed

I learned to be brave

not to let ego enrage 

for every attention it clamored for

I pacified with embrace

 

I have always known deep inside

My Divine is always by my side

No matter I loose worldly games

My Master's trust is all I gain

 

I learn to be patient 

accepting what comes my way

I may have the choice

but at times I simply have to pay

with a price of sacrifice 

and a dash of  poise

no matter it may  jeopardize my plans

I surrender to a much  Higher plane 

Lamenting emotions often raise my fears

of loosing my ground of sanity

I brush aside the swollen tears  

and set a new twist to gear

all my energies marching forward

with full swing and cheer 

ushering new dreams to endeavor 

and mighty ambitions to bear!

 

 

 

 

Our World is world within

                 How true it is to say our world resides in us. The same set of events may be a reason for cheers to one while the same can be agonizing for others. So what is it that brings the difference. In fact the way we look at events, the way we react or respond to events make all the difference. Is not it interesting ! The vision through which one gets the perspective is so substantial! 

                Its very natural to have dust lay on our desk after a certain period without any reason. It is law of nature to fill up the space if left unattended. Suppose one takes care to keep the desk clean on a regular basis, then no matter the dust will appear on the surface but it soon will be removed with routine cleaning habit. Nothing will help you on its own to keep the desk clean except junk will get accumulated effortlessly. There is a conscious habit to be nurtured to take care of things. 

                Our vision also tends to be distorted if left unattended. We need to take constant care of keeping our vision clean and clear to be able to see the right perspective. The dust of doubt, fear, jealousy, anger, insecurity and all sorts of negativeness comes very easily at the slightest provocation, but it takes immense strength being able to be on the track of right discrimination and analyze events reasonably to arrive at the conclusion with right perspective. Discriminating skill can be developed with knowledge & wisdom acquired through life learning lessons, company of wise men, and practice of various studies undertaken for growth. 

                Most often, wise people are easily labeled as born with blessings, but the fact it that they have acquired wisdom by paying price of self less effort, sacrificing pleasures, committment to hard work, adopting humility and surpass being under the brunt of under estimation. Wisdom can be acquired by any one seeking sincerely for Truth. The path to wisdom may be difficult but not daunting enough to be discarded. 

                One indeed has the choice to be happy, to feel blessed. Cause blessing is in abundance in Universe, only that we need to make ourselves capable of receiving it. There is indeed a fine tuning which needs to be done to start receiving the gift of love from Universe. One who gets to know this secret has the key to eternal Happiness. 

                 I have discovered that the moment we start getting connected to Universe, we are in the receiving mode, to be able to listen what the Universe is preaching us, guiding us. We can tap onto the unlimited resourcefulness of Universe. It is a possibility when we are prepared. We need to do our homework before connecting to the Universe. The homework is to purify our thoughts, our every motive and action should be oriented for higher goals and should not compromise on truthfulness.  The way we look at the world, becomes a mystical dimension to explore and expand. Abundance happens on its own with gratitude!

                  I conclude with realization within each of us to have the power to create our own world. The world we see is created by our own thoughts and vision. In case some of us are in complaining mode, then u need to check with a Master to help u upgrade your vision. The problem is not in the reality we see, it is the distorted vision which upsets us. Having a Master or Guru in our life, or the guidance and wisdom we need to have a pure crystal clear vision of the perfect world we dream of.
