It is natural to be Unnatural

 Who says it is not proper to be unnatural. Often we come across such extra ordinary people with outstanding merits and contribution to the world but their personal life is little less than perfect yet in some extreme cases they are so called abnormal, far away from the normality of Society.

Master Artist Van Gogh's unnatural  trait is the first instance of genius coming to my mind with off track thought process such that he committed suicide out of frustration while the world treasures his invaluable creations for hundred years past his unfortunate unnatural death.  In fact, it is the special ability of such genius to look at things differently with unique feeling or intensity so that others who could not understand or relate to them labelled such rarity as abnormal. 

I could observe such an instance of unnatural trend in Nature. While taking a walk in nature, I witnessed all the twines of a creeper are falling naturally towards ground after reaching a certain height. That is the beauty of the creeper to be grounded. Well but not all are exhibiting the same trait. Here and there, I find few twines climbing upwards reaching for the sunlight. It triggerd a curiousity in me to instrospect if nature too defies natural law universally followed but in exceptional cases.  

I was astonished to watch a sapling growing into a plant but moving parallel to the ground after gaining a little height. It sparked a thought provoking question as to what dire situation made the plant grow horizontally against the norm of growing vertically. On close inspection, I found out that the plant is placed in a pot at a corner of a balcony which is hardly getting any direct sunlight. To beat the odds, the plant desperately wants to reach out to its source of life which is the sunlight here. The earnest desire to gain nourishment made the plant defy norms and it battles all lack with courage to take up an exceptional route to growth. To some it may strike abnormal growth while those who can value valour will be able to identify that so called abnormality is actually an extra ordinary trait to stand out from the rest. 

Same applies to us when we label abnormality to some traits in people who defy norms. It is the callous way of society to deal with exceptional traits with stamp of rejection whoever are not following the general masses. 

I could relate to rare few who are silently carrying on a mission but the world is oblivious of their progress and may target such genius with mockery of being invisible. When the right time comes, the world is stunned by their masterpieces. Such is the vigour of being an exception,  courage to be different and original. This is the origin of originality- to follow your instinct irrespective what sounds natural or normal. No matter what people say or how they treat you, maintain your originality not just to stand out of the crowd but to set an outstanding example.

रौशनी उस उम्मीद की

प्यार के नग़्मे  गाके मेहफ़िल सज़ा देता हूँ

 

कोरे पन्नो में कल्पनाओं के दुनिया बसा लेता हूँ 

रेत के टीलों में से सींप चुन लेता हूँ 

पथरीली करवटो से हरियाली बुन लेता हूँ

पंख नहीं तो  कश्ती बनाके पानी में उड़ लेता हूँ

कुछ इस तरह सपने बुन  लेता हूँ

अँधेरे में भी रौशनी ढूंढ लेता हूँ 

 

 

Sacred space

 Amidst the chaos of life

there flows serene music 

 only if we can pay close attention

 

Amidst turmoil far & wide

there is unbound sanctity

 only if we can strike the right balance

 

Things unfold at their own pace

only if we can foster patience to see the magic!

The wheel of time waits for none

It has its own playful rhythm

diving into divine melody

 to tap onto infinite possibilities

waiting to be manifested 

at your wishful thoughts

with a pure heart and a clear mind

What thunderous debate fails to solve

Our Mother Earth

 For eons of ages

ever since our planet earth came into existence

it has been undergoing so many phases of evolution

to have become what it is in the present timeline

 

Human race from primitive times

has been honoring our home planet as Mother Earth

thriving life of all kinds brimming with vibrancy

Yet what a blunder we did!

We plundered of all its wealth-

including its various species 

We have been paying the price

Time and again mother nature has 

struck us with natural disasters

giving a message of  tolerance to a certain extent

beyond which it will repel with suitable action

It is time for us to act upon the lessons learnt

To conserve & correct our action of past misdeeds

by planting more trees, preserving endangered species

by altering our source of energy towards protection of Mother earth

by resorting to more organic ways shunning industrial waste or chemical hazards

It is time to wake up and live in an awakened state of moral responsibilities

of giving back to what we receive, 

It is time to shake off old radical patterns of exploitation and mishandling for capital gains

It is time to make up for all that we lost for our follies and greed

It is time to revive the ancient wisdom of  Oneness

and sanctify our living space that mother Earth nurtures us with!

Seeking Knowledge

When we receive knowledge

we transcend our limited concepts

transgressing from gross to subtler planes  

likewise our minds gets uplifted 

like a shining flame of light ever rising high 

We cross barriers of love, compassion

and blossom to an elated state

Love grows, expansion happens

WE become inclusive

We transform to givers from takers

We are truthful to our real nature

WE tune into universal flow of Oneness

 

Now to upgrade ourselves to be receptor of knowledge 

we need to bring in vital aspects of Learners

Be humble, unlearn what you have learnt so far

ready to fill in your pot by emptying it first

Be committed, dedicated with faith and gratitude

Respect and Humility are essential qualities for a student'

 Bringing in the aspect of service with reverence

being obedient, sincere, truthful, honest, dedicated 

can allow Knowledge to seep into you

One has to be totally surrendered in faith

Raising questions is the right way to learn 

and strengthen your basic foundation

provided one has full faith in the process of learning

One needs to give innumerable tests 

ever ready for practicals to happen

unquestionably to one's horror of testing tribulations

Hard work, perseverance, patience is what pays

Self restraint, self inquiry, reflection

Contemplation, introspection are some of the 

requirements to be complied.

Once you reach a stage of complete understanding

of real law of Nature, 

you are a winner already

Its a matter of execution only

So introduce quest in your journey to 

navigate in the right direction

 Life is a journey where we gather only experiences

its us to decide whether we let which one  to enrich or diminish

battling storms of life

I learned to be brave

My Divine is always by my side

Lamenting emotions often raise my fears

and set a new twist to gear

आनेवाला वंश था वह 

हुनर का खज़ाना था वह

प्यारा सा अनमोल बच्चा था वह 

 

आज हमने उसे खो दिया 

हमारे झूठे समाज के दरिंदों ने 

अपनीऔकाद दिखाई 

किस हद तक गिर सकते है 

इसकी कीमत चुकाई एक नन्ही सी जान ने !

 

आख़िर क्या अंतर रह गया फिर 

कातिलों में और बनावटी समाज के ठेकेदारों में 

स्कूल कॉलेज में चल रहा  शोषण 

क्या अभी भी खून मांगती है ?

न्याय होने की कानून मांगती है ?

इन्साफ तो दूर इंसानियत ही हम खो बैठे 

कब तक हैवानियत के शिकार होने दे 

फूल जैसे बच्चो के आहुति देते रहे !

 

शर्मनाक काण्ड होता गया 

और उस बेबस  माँ को सताया गया 

क्या यह कूटनीति नहीं है अनुशाशन की 

क्या उम्मीद लेके जाएगी अगली पीढ़ी 

जहाँ शिक्षा, ज्ञान , विद्या की उम्मीद है 

वही पे अनौपचारिक  अनैतिकता को ढील दी जा रही है 

काले कारनामे बेख़ौफ़  पनप रहे है

इसकी  ज़िम्मेद्दारी कौन लेगा 

हम्हारी ही आखो के सामने घट रही वारदाद 

कोई दुर्घटना करके टालने वाली बात नहीं 

पापीयों  को उनकी सज़ा दिलाने की नैतिक ज़िम्मेदारी उठायें 

वरना बेफिज़ूल के जी रहे है हम !

पाप का  भार  उनके कंधो पे भी उतना भारी पड़ेगा 

जो लोग अब भी चुप बैठे  है 

मूक दर्शक बनके तमाशा देख रहे है 

अपनी अन्तरात्माओं को जगाओ

और असुरो का संहार करो 

इंसान के मुखौटे पहनकर आज भी 

 कई दरिंदे खुले आम क़त्ल कर रहे है 

कल को अंतिम समय पे क्या जस्बात लेके जाओगे 

जब ज़मीर पाप पुण्य के हिसाब मांगेगा 

कमज़ोरी से ऊपर उठकर आओ  एक नीँव बनाये 

खुद की हिफ़ाज़त कर सके ऐसा मजबूती लाए। 

प्रशासन से बढ़कर हर एक का जज़्बा बने 

 हर बच्चा सुरक्षित हो इसका लक्ष्य बनाये।

 

You do have a choice

 You do have a choice - to have a good feel

                Most of the times, when we start loosing we are filled with remorse, guilt, regret and disappointment. Our focus of attention gets deflected from the center and our vision is marred. For the simple reason that the emotions of insecurity are so overwhelming that we loose our ground to stay connected to possibilities. In a way, we close down the gates of opportunities that emerge in times of crisis but are mostly not very immediate but somehow hidden. Only an awakened alert state of mind can catch such a glimpse of possibility. Any iota of doubt is wiped out with awareness and sharp intellect. 

                Lets take the example of missing a bus after standing in a long Que. The thought of failure becomes so overpowering that the mind stops responding but gets into a reactive mode which is always destructive, distracting from the upcoming possibilities. However, opportunity once lost is not the end of the road. It is said that if one gate closes then another opens up. Likewise, if a person is patient & steady enough, he will not be perturbed by the idea of loosing rather raises himself to further alert mode not to miss the next bus. How easy or difficult it is to shift from this mode of loosing to hope or from giving up to looking forward! Certainly it needs skill and days of practice to maintain cool of mind. A magic word works here - "So what?" You hardly mind of missing once chance knowing there are many more to come. And to grab the golden opportunity one needs to be recharged with positivity. 

 

                There is another perspective to this topic - 

You do have a choice - to look at

                This is in context of our options available and we do have the choice to select at our will. While we are walking we do come across many things, good/ bad, beautiful/ugly, fragrant/stench.... total contrasts. How many of us notice the kind of feeling we go through while our gaze falls on a dustbin or pile of trash. Or we accidentally land on a cow dung! Yuck! Certainly none of us feel good about it. Do we have a choice! Yes! Surprised to know? 

                Yes we do have another way to look at it. Again "So what" mantra works here.  The moment something unpleasant happens or not to our expectation, we can skillfully shift our attention to a field which can be pleasing to our eyes or feelings. Like there may beautiful wild flowers in the corner of the lane to look at, or beautiful sky up, or simple the breeze to feel . Its not very hard to try. The moment we give it a chance to look for a beauty around, we certainly could catch that glimpse..... as if we are struck with wonder -"How come I did not notice it before!" Our very intention to look forward for pleasantness will make it happen in real. That is why it is a magic potion to be intoxicated with love, hopes , dream and happiness. Being always in a joyful mood, no matter what happens outside can bring a transformation in you, your reality. You start getting things manifested at your will. How amazing is that! Of course there is lot of discipline involved to maintain that joyful state, certain daily self motivating affirmations, restraining upsetting thoughts with acceptance and gratitude. This awareness bring a fresh breath of ease. Or else we are dis-eased! 

 

You do have a choice -  to listen

                Suppose you are stuck in a traffic and the jammed roads are vibrating with noise of honking horns ! Total chaotic scene. What is the impulse of most of us?  To abhor, to complain and sulk ! You can say what is the good thing about it to appreciate? Yes there still is ....! 

                You do have the choice to shrug the chaos with the mantra "So what" :) Your mind can be your friend to quieten itself in silence shifting attention from what it is to accepting as it is. It is natural so no worries. The moment we accept any unpleasantness, we start receiving the good vibes of overcoming its repulsion. We move through the chaos with transcending feeling bad about it. In fact, within no time we are transported to a field of peace & tranquility. With that power of serenity we can move ahead.

 এ যুগের নারীর কণ্ঠস্বর 

 

কন্যা রূপে তুমি মামুনি 

বধূ রূপে গৃহ লক্ষ্মী 

মাতৃ রূপে তুমি প্রতিমূর্তি 

করুণাময়ী জগধাত্রী

 

প্রথমে ত্যাগের বেদিতে 

শুরু হলো তোমার  বলিদান 

"আমি বাঁচতে চাই"

কেউ শুনলো না তো তোমার আর্তনাদ !

 

 গৃহ বধূ করলে যখন 

ভাবলে কেমনটি দমন করতে পারলাম 

 অনেক যত্নে পরানো  সেই 

ভালোবাসার সেঁকল

তারে খুঁটি তে বেঁধে রেখে, ফুর্তি করতে পারবে কি ?

আত্ম সমর্পন দিয়েছে সে ঠিকই 

এই বিয়ের অগ্নি কুন্ড তে 

তবে আত্ম সম্মান বিশেষ করে 

সামলে রেখে লড়বে সে স্ত্রী শক্তি নিয়ে 

নিজের বলতে কিছু ই আগলে রাখে নি সে 

সংসারে সবই আপন করে রাখতো

বেতন রহিত চিরকালের দাসী

 মান অপমান রাখার ঠাঁই  পায় নি

এইটুকু কি জানতো সে   ?

উচ্চ স্বরে কথা বললে বাগী বনে সে মেয়ে 

না বললে-  "মুখে কথা ফোটে না  "

মূর্খ বলে যুক্তি দেখায় মস্ত দৌলতে

 

বুক চাঁপা কান্না ভরে 

অজস্র অশ্রু বয়ে নিয়ে গেছে 

তার অপরূপ বাণী

অধীর, ক্লান্ত , ছিন্ন হৃদয়

রুদ্ধ করেছে কণ্ঠস্বর 

 

সকলের পাপের ভোগী 

তার  হিসেব রাখে নি কেউ 

মিথ্যে অপবাদে বন্দি হয়ে 

আজ ও খাটছে কারাগারে 

 

এ যুগের  নারী আমি 

 চাই না পরে থাকতে এক কোনে 

সাজিয়ে রেখো না মোরে 

বন্দি গৃহে আসবাবে 

 

আমি সীমান্ত ছাড়িয়ে দিগন্ত পেড়িয়ে 

উড়তে চাই খোলা আসমানে

 

 

আদি যুগের যুক্তি দিয়ে 

ত্যাগের প্রতিমূর্তি হতে প্রস্তুত নই 

আমার প্রাণের আহুতি দিয়ে 

কেমন জব্দ করবে বলে 

এ সব সাজানো ফন্দি 

এ যুগের  নারী আমি 

চিরকালের সংগ্রামী 

তোমার যত বিয়ের যুক্তি

চুকিয়ে দেব সব চুক্তি 

রূপটা দেখলে কেবল 

স্বরূপটা জানতে চাইলে কি 

পারলে হয়তো চিনতে পারতে 

বেদনার মর্ম কি

পবিত্রতার  প্রমান পত্র উঠে যাক 

থাক  তোমার দাবি  আবদার

ধ্যৈর্যের সীমানা টা কি 

আমার একলার দায়িত্ব কি?

বর্তমানের আবেগ নিয়ে চলি 

বড়ই আধুনিকা , অসাধারণ 

নারীর  এই পরিচয় দিতে

আমার বিন্দু মাত্র দ্বিধা  নেই

অত্যাচারের বিরোধিতার বিবেক আমি রাখি 

অপমান তো দূরের কথা 

পার্থক্য করার অধিকার কারুকে দি নাই 

মিথ্যে সমাজের অবিচারে

 যোগ দিতে বাধ্য নই 

 আমায় আমার মতন থাকতে হবে

 এই সুখ টা আমার প্রাপ্প তাই !

 

ক্ষমা প্রার্থী নয় মোটে সে 

নিজের গুনেই মত্ত সে 

অবিরাম অক্লান্ত সে 

সর্ব ক্ষেত্রে যোগ্যতার 

পারদর্শিতার পরিচয় দিয়ে 

ফিরে পেয়েছে তার হারানো সুর

আবিষ্কারের জগতে ও

Naari - Shakti ka swaroop

 हाँ मैं आज की नारी हूँ 

कंधे से कन्धा मिलाके  चलने वाली 

हर क्षेत्र में सहभागी हूँ

तेजस्विनी हूँ , स्वाभिमानी हूँ 

 

श्रृंगार से सृजन तक 

हर रूप में ढली हूँ मैं 

बेटी बनके नाज़ो से पली हूँ मैं 

तो बहन बनके  खिली भी  मैं 

फिर बहु बनके गृहलक्ष्मी बनी 

और माँ का गौरव भी  मिला 

हर स्तर पर खड़ी क्या उतरी 

 जग ने मुझको अपने आप से जुदा किया !

अपने वजूद की याद भुलाके 

मुझे रोना मंज़ूर न था 

आज भी कितने घरो में 

गुमनामी के ज़िन्दगी जीते है कई स्त्री 

अपने होने का एहसास कब का छोड़ चुकी है 

घर परिवार के रिश्ते नाते 

निभाते हुए आज भी अपनी आवाज़ खो चुकी है 

मर्यादा के नाम पे 

मुझे न रोकना, मुझे न टोकना

अंतहीन हैं मेरी राहें 

सीमाओं के पार हैं 

निरंतर चलने वाली 

अविरामी बहने वाली धार हैं 

मुझे घर गृहस्ती में बाँध के न रखना 

पंख लगाके मुझे भी है उड़ना 

 मेरे भी कुछ अरमान हैं

हाँ,  संकोच रखती हूँ मैं  

त्याग की मूरत बनने से

अपने हक़ की बलिदान क्यों दू

परम्पराओं के अनुयायी है 

आदि युग से नारी की महिमा 

सुन के मैं  बलिहारी हूँ 

 

ज्ञान की देवी सरस्वती,

 माँ गंगा पावन इतनी 

दिव्य शक्ति  प्रतापी है नारी

असुरों के  सँघारी  है 

वीराँगना शौर्य है जितना 

माता  जगतोद्धारि है  !

 

नाज़ है मुझको नारीत्व में 

अपने अस्तित्व को मैंने हैं पहचाना

गलती से भी नाज़ूक न समझना 

शक्ति के स्वरुप हूँ मैं

ईश्वर की अपरम्पार महिमा 

रचनात्मक रूप हूँ मैं 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our World is world within

                 How true it is to say our world resides in us. The same set of events may be a reason for cheers to one while the same can be agonizing for others. So what is it that brings the difference. In fact the way we look at events, the way we react or respond to events make all the difference. Is not it interesting ! The vision through which one gets the perspective is so substantial! 

                Its very natural to have dust lay on our desk after a certain period without any reason. It is law of nature to fill up the space if left unattended. Suppose one takes care to keep the desk clean on a regular basis, then no matter the dust will appear on the surface but it soon will be removed with routine cleaning habit. Nothing will help you on its own to keep the desk clean except junk will get accumulated effortlessly. There is a conscious habit to be nurtured to take care of things. 

                Our vision also tends to be distorted if left unattended. We need to take constant care of keeping our vision clean and clear to be able to see the right perspective. The dust of doubt, fear, jealousy, anger, insecurity and all sorts of negativeness comes very easily at the slightest provocation, but it takes immense strength being able to be on the track of right discrimination and analyze events reasonably to arrive at the conclusion with right perspective. Discriminating skill can be developed with knowledge & wisdom acquired through life learning lessons, company of wise men, and practice of various studies undertaken for growth. 

                Most often, wise people are easily labeled as born with blessings, but the fact it that they have acquired wisdom by paying price of self less effort, sacrificing pleasures, committment to hard work, adopting humility and surpass being under the brunt of under estimation. Wisdom can be acquired by any one seeking sincerely for Truth. The path to wisdom may be difficult but not daunting enough to be discarded. 

                One indeed has the choice to be happy, to feel blessed. Cause blessing is in abundance in Universe, only that we need to make ourselves capable of receiving it. There is indeed a fine tuning which needs to be done to start receiving the gift of love from Universe. One who gets to know this secret has the key to eternal Happiness. 

                 I have discovered that the moment we start getting connected to Universe, we are in the receiving mode, to be able to listen what the Universe is preaching us, guiding us. We can tap onto the unlimited resourcefulness of Universe. It is a possibility when we are prepared. We need to do our homework before connecting to the Universe. The homework is to purify our thoughts, our every motive and action should be oriented for higher goals and should not compromise on truthfulness.  The way we look at the world, becomes a mystical dimension to explore and expand. Abundance happens on its own with gratitude!

                  I conclude with realization within each of us to have the power to create our own world. The world we see is created by our own thoughts and vision. In case some of us are in complaining mode, then u need to check with a Master to help u upgrade your vision. The problem is not in the reality we see, it is the distorted vision which upsets us. Having a Master or Guru in our life, or the guidance and wisdom we need to have a pure crystal clear vision of the perfect world we dream of. 

Effortlessness

                    Any kind of work needs some efforts to accomplish a given task. Its a matter of fact, that the more efficient one becomes through skill or practice, the more it is easier for the person to accomplish the task. However, if we talk about effortlessness, what is that state and how is it possible to reach that state.

                    Let's take the example of our body parts, like legs help us to walk and our entire body gets transported from one place to another. The left leg never complains to right leg that I am working harder than you. Obviously, there is no comparison cause there is no question of separate identity. Its whole being and different body parts do their part for the overall performance or existence of the individual.  Likewise when we feel hungry, our hands reach out to plate and place it in mouth, the mouth eats well and stomach digests. Ultimately the feeling of being fed comes once the stomach is full and there is satisfaction of taste and hunger pangs are vanquished. All this simple exercise is to set up the experience of oneness amongst various body parts that leads to no conflict of claiming which role was more important than the other. They are all inclusive and none can do part from each other such is the biological system.

                    Similarly in nature, if we observe how the whole ecological system is functional on its own at its root level. There is rain, sunshine, climatic changes, water bodies, sea, river, snow, forest, vegetation, wild life, everything is in natural flow of existence. There is so much harmony and balance. There does not seem to be any efforts in original state. For obvious reason that it is all natural. There is Oneness.... absence of separate identity does not give scope for crisis. 

                    Now, lets come to our world, man's made world. The world we know with human interference, has come to the extent of extinction in terms of loosing many species who have been hunted for vested interest, or due to industrial or climatic hazards created by human's so called scientific advancements. Where did it begin? The moment this thought of  separateness came to our mind, the feeling of being the superior most species, humans have done the blunder of mistaking himself as the creator and committing the crime of commanding  over earth as a ruthless ruler. 

                    Again, lets take an example from our day to day life. A person working in office may get frustrated due to the fact that the job done by him is not recognized/ appreciated by his boss or given due respect. It may demoralize him from giving his best which in turn can reduce his work efficiency. Every time he feels he has to put extra efforts to finish his work. Reason being unhappiness, lack of moral support or unnecessary stress in absence of recognition. On the other hand, if the same person is encouraged with words of appreciation by his boss even for the slightest improvements, then he gets boosted up to give his very best next time. The best part is that now he does not even feel the pressure of work on the contrary, he is super excited doing his work. What a transformation from efforts to effortlessness with the shift of energy. This principle can be reflected in case of students and teachers or household environment. 

                    Coming back to self appraisal we experience the same kind of lift in spirits as and when the enthusiasm is boosted by whatever means. For some, self care can be daunting as it is often mistaken as an effort. For once, if we assume that it is not us who is massaging the face, but we are being pampered by someone else, then we start enjoying the massage. What was the significant change here, the focus has shifted from me doing massage to enjoying the massage. Exactly same way once we drop doer ship, we start relaxing and the real rest happens! The ego always interrupts smooth flow. We have seen in office atmosphere, the ego is clamoring for attention or recognition. The moment we drop ego that "I" am doing this work, and focus our attention to I am enjoying this work unconditionally, the shift happens from efforts to effortlessness. The flow sets in..... the harmony is maintained and hence no conflict, no strain.

                   So separateness is the culprit of all crimes. Working in unison is the key to wholesomeness without discrimination & comparison. Each one of us are gifted and contribute our part to the society or Universe at large by being truthful to our existence. The essence lies in realization of letting oneself in the flow of existence without guilt or doubt. It comes with knowledge of strength in Unity. Everything becomes effortless in its original state or natural state.

MAAJHI & SWIMMER

Once a Maajhi was sailing in a small boat in the middle of ocean when he saw little turmoil across some distance. With big waves, he could only gather that something is happening there.

It aroused his curiousity and he raised his light to see what it is! To his surprise, a person was struggling to survive – he was drowning! But he had not given up – so he was using all his strength to keep himself floating. The Maajhi immediately addressed the person that he is coming to his rescue and he should keep up his efforts. With both of their efforts, the drowning person was taken on board with a warm welcome!

 The Maajhi and struggler became good friends sharing their part of life story during the journey in the hope that sometime the boat will reach some shore.

 

 However, to his surprise the struggler discovered that the boat had no oars to row with, so that the baot was sailing without any direction to steer.The struggler asked why Maajhi did not have any oars to row the boat or did he lost it somewhere. The Maajhi replied that he never wanted to reach any destination, but always enjoyed the journey on water and had many interesting stories in store. So he did not keep any oars.

Then the Maajhi asked the struggler why he was in middle of ocean, was it an accident or he lost control while swimming.. The struggler revealed that he always wanted to venture into adventure and take up challenges in life. He wanted to grow through his struggles in life. Though he knew little bit of swimming, he dived into deep ocean to strengthen his skill, no matter how risky it was to his life even. Such was his strength and confidence! But he had no idea about the mysterious ocean with its wild waves - this time the strong high waves took him over and he lost his control upon water and went out of breath! His courage and hope kept him going. He did not give up hopes nor was he down in spirits. That really impressed the Maajhi.

The struggler asked Maajhi how well versed is he with the ocean. The Maajhi declared with pride that he often measured the depth of ocean diving into its secret bottom. The more he plunges deep inside it, the more he comes out with invaluable treasures!!! "The most precious gifts of nature are hidden in the innermost bottom of mother earth, but there are big dangerous sharks and whales to come across first" he announced. He said the bigger the obstacle, the greater is the reward!

Amazed and spellbound, the struggler asked what does he do with those treasures? Maajhi replied with a gratifying smile -” I exchange them with whoever i find on the way” This time puzzled the struggler inquired -what he meant by exchanging- with what he exchanges his treasures ? The Maajhi donned a big smile and quipped “ I exchange their blessings, their smile, love and trust. I can see their dreams fulfilled which soars me high up in the sky closer to stars. I feel elated with their kind words. ”

The struggler was enthralled to know how much contentment, peace and bliss is there!!! This person has no desires but his selfless efforts help him gain liberation – highest of its accord... MOKSHA!

The struggler was enlightened with this wisdom and knowledge ! He became a blissful soul and practiced his skill of swimming, diving deep into ocean in his quest for hidden treasures! Nothing could stop his zest now. He was so keen in excelling his skill that he turned from struggler to swimmer. But one day his skill really came to be tested!

One day a devastating storm striked the ocean and their boat went upside down taking alongwith the Maajhi. The Maajhi was nowhere to be seen. As the swimmer was practicing his swimming stunts, he could only hear few faint words of his friend. It alarmed the swimmer and immediately he ventured into rescue operation. Now it was the swimmer who could capture the hands of drowning Maajhi, just by a few seconds with his swift action.

The Maajhi who used to take pride in helping others, did not feel shy to surrender and seek for help. He had faith on his friend's abilities and trusted him beyond doubts. When his own skills and confidence could not enable him to cope up with the strong rustic blows of waves, he did not struggle to come out, he surrendered to be taken care of with faith on God and his most trustable friend!

His friend had an equal insight of the situation and used his skill he learnt so far to dive deep and came out safely rescuing his friend.

Such was their strong bond of friendship – pure and unconditional! Thus both were an inspiration to each other!!!!

 

Purposefulness

                 Fullness comes with purpose. Life lived fully is in context of living in its true meaning. The essence of living is to feel alive. What aliveness means  life force  in full swing. There is bliss, joy, centredness.. peace, contentment.  

               All our desires are driving force to set us into action. It is the attachment to desires in form of obsessiveness or feverishness that pulls the string to imbalance the rhythm of action and sets chaos in. We act in a way that it defeats the very purpose or intention of our action. Eg. We want to help a certain person in need, financially or by doing some favors, but many a times its our expectations behind our deeds somewhat like we want our deeds to be recognized or applauded  or we even look forward some rewards in return that leads us to act in a contradictory way so much that we may decide not to help next time or we may even stoop down to the extent of claiming our contribution. 

             The point is what is the significance of desires worth chasing for if it has the scope of  triggering negativity. How much can we avoid being trapped into the cycle of expectation or complaints as a side effect of desires.  What else can be the driving force to action or living a worthwhile life. 

            The wisdom tradition has been supporting the idea of having desires to orient your actions to certain direction provided we are able to give up attachments or watchful about  obsessiveness to desires . It can be possible by expanding our perspective to look at bigger picture through vision of  knowledge and awareness. To be able to surrender to the level of humility with an aptitude of non-doer ship and willingness to accept the unexpected contrasts of life which may not be very pleasant. 

            Once again let us revert back to main subject - Purposefulness of Life. What does it stand for - how different can it vary from person to person. 

            Let me begin with myself and my views of how it may vary for others depending upon their understanding of life in totality. To me, Life is a journey of experiences with a purpose to evolve, to grow through learning, practice with feeling of surrender to accept whatever is the result of our action. The reason why we face so many difficulties is to keep us going, to continuously striving for the best to happen. It keeps us in action and that is what keeps us alive letting our special skills and faculties to be functional to its optimum level.

             Even if is a case of a sage who has renounced every desire to be on the path of his seeking spiritual growth, the ultimate goal of his life still exists giving his life a reason to live.  Or if it is about ordinary average person full of desires, hope and dream, the very purpose of life is amalgamation of all - what brings happiness, joy, peace, serenity, feel good energy. 

            It can be even said that suffering, battling those challenges can be a reason for some to carry on life . After all it is a churning process of purification and further growth through learning, expanding one's capacity to endure, not just to go beyond one's limit to endure pain but rise above it. For some, facing life's struggles with one's ability to handle those challenges is a way of life and good enough reason to feel alive. Staying too much in comfort zone can be very boring and meaningless. It may upset their charm for life and fire of passion may get extinguished sealing all possible ways to flourish and experience life to the fullest. It is obvious here that certain amount of uncertainty, risk factor, constraints, or challenges are essential to ignite the fire of life to feel alive to experience the magic. It opens up the vast field of adventures, surprise, magic conjuring up all qualities we possess to bring forth to this world, can set our potential to optimum use. As if, life would not have been so much interesting if there were no failures or disappointments on the contrary. After all Light can glow up in darkness only.

            So the more difficult life situation, more fun it is to feel alive and know the difference of lifeless life in total abundance. 

            The purpose of life varies from person to person with respect to what they relate to true  meaning of life according to their understanding or experience. For me, the more centered a person becomes, the more refined are his ways to approach life situations and his life mission get elevated for higher goals in terms of shifting from self centered goals to self less service or contribution for others to feel happy and alive for a reason to bring difference for the cause of others happiness or welfare. That way real purpose of life gets refined to higher purpose for those who seeks the highest form of living fuller life.

all your life but hardly care for 

once its right in front of you

If you can have the courage to see what is behind

and learn to loose your apparent sanity

 with newfound courage & ambition

letting to release the preset notions

willing to embrace new emotions 

without the guilt of foregoing

treading the uncharted path others fear

ready to build a new career 

that sets you free from bondage

Age old traditions of  holding back contempt 

not allowing to see what it is

as shameful it is labelled as unshackling it can be!

चेतना की लहर

चेतना की लहर 

    जीवन को गहराई से जीने के लिए मन में उत्साह होना अवश्यक हैं - उमंग आनंद ! और यह आनंद का आभास तब हो पता हैं जब हम शांतिप्रिय और सत्य को अपनाते हैं। किसी प्रकार की छल  या कपटता हमारे जीवन में प्रवेश नहीं कर पाती।... अगर हम सतर्क और जागरूक रहे। तन और मन से सदैव त्यैयार  रहे की हमे हर पल को उत्सव के तरह मानना है। हर क्षण कीमती हैं। तब हम हर व्यक्ति, हर स्थान, परिस्थिति का भी आदर करना सीख जाएंगे। 

    परिस्थिति की जब बात आती हैं तो ज्यादातर परिस्थितियां हमारे वश में नहीं होती और कई बार प्रतिकूल परिस्थितियों का सामना करना पड़ता हैं। हमें  ऐसी परिस्थितियों से घबड़ाकर हिम्मत नहीं हारनी  चाहिए बल्कि बड़ी शिद्दत से ईश्वर को शुक्रिया करना चाहिए की उन्होंने हमे  इस काबिल बनाया की हम बड़ी बड़ी तूफानों  से टक्कड़ ले सके। यह तभी संभव है  जब हमारी आस्था अटल हो और हम धैर्य और सहनशीलता के असीम शक्तियों का प्रयोग कर सके। सबसे पहले समता बनायीं रखनी है, इस भाव से कोई पड़ेशानी हमेशा के लिए रहती नहीं, यह जैसे आई है वैसे इसे चले जाना है। हमारे भीतर के शक्तियों को अभिव्यक्त करने का समय आ गया है, यही  सोचके आगे बढ़ना है। 

    उसी तरह कोई व्यक्ति अगर हम्हारे स्वाभाव के प्रतिकूल हो , या जिनसे हमारे विचार नहीं मिलते, उनको हम्हें बड़े आदर से स्वीकार करना चाहिए की वह जैसे है वह स्वाभाविक हैं।  फिर उसपे गौड़ करना चाहिए की यदि कोई सुधार  की सम्भावना हैं तो जरूर उसपे अमल कीजिये अन्यथा हमे अपने जैसा होने का अपेक्षा नहीं रखनी चाहिए।  हाँ इतना ज़रूर कर सकते हैं की हम उनको नाप तोलके न टटोले , क्यूंकि अगला शक़्श भी यही सोच सकता हैं।  और अगर कही आपको परखा जा रहा हैं तो इसमें भी विचलित न होकर हमें  उसी सम भाव से साक्षी रूप, समर्पण भाव से अपने को कष्ट पहुँचने से बचा सकते है।  यह जान लीजिये, ऐसा करने से न केवल आप अपनी सहनशीलता का काबिलियत दर्शा रहे हैं अपितु बुद्धिमत्ता भी ।  यह तभी संभव है जब आप ज्ञान मार्ग में है और उससे बढ़कर उस ज्ञान को ले पाने की कृपा के पात्र है। हम्हें कृपा सिंधु वह सारी शक्तियाँ दे रखी हैं जो हमें  कोई भी मुश्किल वक़्त का सामना करने के लिए चाहिए।  अंतर सिर्फ इतना है की हम कितने जागरूक हैं इस बात की और हम्हारी काबिलियत का जड़ तो हम्हारी आत्मविश्वास से जुड़ी  हैं।  और इसका बल तो ईश्वर के शरणागति में है, ईश्वर के ऊपर अपार श्रद्धा और उनकी असीम करुणा सागर में पूर्ण रूप से विलीन हो जाने में हैं । 

    कहने का तात्पर्य यह की हम्हारी इच्छा, मनसा, भक्ति, श्रद्धा और समर्पण कितनी मात्रा में है यह तय करता है की हम्हारी जीवन यात्रा कैसी होगी।  कोई समुद्र के किनारे पे ही संतुष्ट है तो वह समुद्र तट का आनंद लेके जीवन बिता देगा।  कोई कोई थोड़ी और इच्छा रखते है तो आनंद के लेहरो में अठखेलियाँ लेके ही कृतार्थ होते है और जीवन संपूर्ण करते हैं।  और यह कारवां बढ़ती रहती है जिसकी जितनी जिज्ञासा हो, जितनी आदर्श हो , जितनी तृप्त न होने की प्यास हो, वह उतनी दूर जाने की परिकल्पना करते है और कुछ हद तक सफल भी होते है।  सबसे जांबाज़ जो होते  है वह सिर्फ ऊपरी विजय से संतुष्ट नहीं होते  बल्कि अपनी  जान की बाज़ी लगाने तक का जज़्बा रखते  है- उस गहरायी तक जाने के लिए।  सिर्फ इस तीव्र आकर्षण से की उन्हें ग्युहतम राज़ जानने की व्याकुलता हैं।  तो वह साधक सबसे ज्यादा, सबसे पूर्णता से जीवन  को जान पाता है।  उसे न समुद्र के लेहरो से संतोष है , न ही गहरायी से, उसे इस खोज की अंत तक जाना है की यह समुद्र अगर इतना विशाल, अनुपम है तो इसके सृष्टिकर्त्ता की महिमा कितनी अपरम्पार होगी ! 

    हम सभी में यह जीवन को जीने की कला छिपी है।  हमे वह तमाम साधन अपनाने चाहिए ताकि हम  उन सारी शक्तियों  द्वारा कुशलता के साथ अपनी शक्शियत को निखार सके।  तभी हम युगो तक इस लोक में अपनी अस्तित्व की छाप  छोड़ जायेंगे अगले कई पीडियों के लिए मिसाल बनकर।  

Tree of Life

     Our relationships are intrinsic part of our life..... destined to be.... rooted at the same core. 

    The bonding we get along with, the lives we touch or are touched are much more than existing relationship.... beyond the parameters of any definition.

    Strangest of things can surprise you as much as taking your breath away, swiping off your feet, bell the rings of sweet chime, flutter the wings of butterflies in your stomach or just stop your heartbeat for a while...it all can happen & can actually ignite the spark you have been waiting for so long.... with strangers you have hardly exchanged a glance or even before uttering a single word.

 

    Some Aura, some Charisma, some Enigma can capture your attention for a lifetime to remember! The questions who, when why or how becomes meaningless then. What remains is pure Love, Bliss, Joy! Only one can experience such intense feelings with pure heart.
