My Soul sister

 We grew up just like twins

Our face resembled though in height she wins

Her flair in Art was so fantastic;

it would inspire me to wish how I could draw at least

While she never cared how much I admired-

Secretly I started following her, became her fan- undeclared!

Little did she know how much I idolized her

For she was carefree kind yet not a girl next-door,

She could make wonders whatever she chose

Be it dancing, be it studies, be it sports or be it making buddies

My only friend was my sister and her friends befriended me rather

Lucky I felt as I was always protected

With warmth and affection, as  an youngster they cared

I had no voice of my own, I followed what was told

My sister was my role model , she stood tall -always my Hero

She was a trend setter, I could not have her better

Then there was a time we have to part ways

Our individual journeys were not meant together

As Life progressed - I got my own partner whom I thought could replace her now

For he became my greatest confidant, a position I always cherished with her before

Life has its ups and downs and hence I got her back once again

Now she is a changed person, her life struggles has matured her before age

I marvel how she becomes everyone’s favorite

not just with her charm but with her grace

 I am awe struck at the depth of her understanding,

Her dignified composure, her life saving principles

Her wisdom is now her beauty, her love is her face

Her compassion is her persona; her elegance is her grace!
